Wellbeing for Staff
– 87% of teachers reported that they’d experienced stress in the last two years, and not surprisingly the education workforce has one of the worst sickness absence rates in the UK. (Source: Teacher Support Network)
– 84% of work-related illness is due to either muscular-skeletal problems or mental ill-health, and for those working in education, the mental ill-health proportion is a staggering 70% of the total (Source: Working for a healthier tomorrow , a review of the health of Britain’s working age population, Dame Carol Black, TSO, March 2008)
– Headteachers, governing bodies and school managers have a legal duty of care in respect of staff welfare (Source: Managing Work Related Stress, Worcestershire County Council, December 2008)
How Go Wellbeing can help
Go Wellbeing was established to encourage health and wellbeing in the workplace. We work together with individual schools to create a programme tailored to individual needs, bringing relaxation and energy into the workplace to keep staff healthy and motivated.
Our range of services incorporates on-site massage, both on a regular or one-off basis, and we can design training days packed with stress-busting and health-enhancing interactive workshops.
Go Wellbeing’s services are a cost effective way of showing people how much you value them, and a great motivational tool. When you start to add up the cost of getting in supply staff to cover absences, you soon realise how important stress prevention really is.
